We spent the few days before Thanksgiving setting up and trimming Christmas trees (hauling a tree up to the atrium picture window was no easy task!), donning garland from the railings and the fireplace mantle in the great room, and ordering our very own personalized Executive Mansion Christmas ornaments for our future guests!
As a reward for our efforts, we sat back and relaxed as a private chef came and cooked dinner for us—and wow! What an experience! I will just say that we are from Southern California and have our pick of any exotic cuisine right in our backyard, but THIS was no comparison! I can’t even tell you what all we ate, but it did not disappoint! If you have never had the experience of a private chef in your home, come treat yourself while you’re staying at the mansion—our chef at the lake is the best! He’s been in the restaurant industry for years, has appeared on Food Network, and is licensed to forage wild foods for his delicious cuisines.
We absolutely love opening up our home around the holidays, whether it be for local, corporate holiday parties, family gatherings, or just city folk wanting to go off the grid and enjoy lake life during this special season of the year.
